The ultrasounds technic is useful for homogenizing mixtures of compounds, among other things
In the GRPFM lab, we have a CY-500 ultrasonic generator, from Ivymen, and a Ministat 230 circulation thermostat, from Huber.
The generator produces a 20kHz-frequency acustic wave. Some of its applications are chemical reaction acceleration as well as compound mixture homogenization.
